I hope you had a very merry Christmas, celebrating with family and friends!
Tomorrow
We’ll wrap up our Advent series with Psalm 24. This beautiful poem announces the coming of the “King of Glory.” We’ll see that, even though God is all-powerful and completely holy, he is determined to live among us as his people, and he proved this when he came to earth. You can read Psalm 24 here.
As with last Sunday, there are no 9am classes. Instead, prayer time will be at 9am We hope you'll join us!
A New Year: How Will You Grow?
To deepen your relationship with God, it's essential to have a consistent intake of his Word and a regular habit of prayer. I encourage you to make Bible reading and prayer a daily priority.
With so many resources available—devotionals, Bible reading plans, and more—it can feel overwhelming to choose the right one. Like a workout routine, the key is to find something manageable and stick with it.
Mobile Bible apps usually feature reading schedules. But if you prefer to use a physical copy of the Bible, you'll find a good list of options here.
The Bible is an ancient and complex book, so it takes some effort to understand. As you dive into a particular book of the Bible, I recommend getting an overview of that book by watching the Bible Project's video on it.
For my devotional reading, I plan to use a resource called Be Thou My Vision. It incorporates prayers and readings from historical creeds and confessions.
Finally, resolve not only to read and meditate on God’s Word but also to share what you’re learning with others. May this coming year be one of growth and transformation!I can't wait to see you on Sunday!
