The sermon will be on the church’s role to be a witness to the saving work of Christ, and these selections from Isaiah provide the Old Testament background for that. The “good news of happiness,” is summarized in the words, “Your God reigns.” Jesus Christ, the one who has “all authority” is the reigning King.
